Textron chairman Lewis Campbell says demand for Cessna Citation Jets fuelled by increasing international orders will spur a significant increase in production by 2013 despite world economic fears. Cessna Aircraft announced that its Citation XLS+ jet earned a full type certificate (TC) from the Federal Aviation Administration on June 2. Cessna said that nearly 600 hours of flight tests had been conducted on thtwin-engine jet, enabling the company to meet its goal of obtaining a TC. Zurich-based ExecuJet yesterday signed for six Bombardier Learjet 85s, making the executive aircraft sales (new and pre-owned), charter, completions and maintenance firm the European launch customer for the all-composite twinjet. The firm order is valued at approximately 3 million, and deliveries to ExecuJet are slated to begin in 2013.

Embraer’s fourth Phenom 100 jet successfully concluded its cold soak tests on April 14, moving ahead with the aircraft’s maturity campaign.
